Dark Chocolate Jack Daniels Ice Cream

Maybe it’s the Irish/Scottish girl in me, but I developed a soft spot for whiskey in college. I worked at a small restaurant along the creek for a few years and the head chef would always make drunken cheesecakes which eventually inspired my favorite drunken creations!

This drunken whiskey ice cream has always been my favorite to make & a huge hit with my other fellow whiskey lovers. I’ve had request to add more whiskey, I’ve made Jack and coke ice cream floats, and I’ve made ice cream pops with it. The other day I noticed we had about half a cup of Gentleman Jack left in the bottle and couldn’t wait to make my all-time favorite ice cream recipe to share with you!

For Christmas, I treated myself to a new ice cream maker since mine broke this past spring and I’ve been desperately itching to make ice cream ever since. I purchased this Cuisinart ICE-30BC Pure Indulgence 2-Quart Ice Cream Maker and it’s worked beautifully for me! It’s super easy, I just keep the ice cream bowl in the freezer at all times, and it cleans like a breeze!

If you’re looking for a more traditional device for less cost, try this Nostalgia 4-Quart Wood Bucket Electric Ice Cream Maker. It takes a little more effort and time with the ice and salt, but it’s fun for the family and has that old school look and feel! We had a good run, but I decided to upgrade to an automatic to save myself time.
