The other day I wanted to try out my chocolate cake batter recipe (still a work in progress) and was trying to think of something that fun that I could do with them. Then a half empty box of cake batter mix in the pantry from a previous recipe experiment caught my eye and I had the greatest idea: cake batter frosting.
I would make anything cake batter flavored if it was possible. I’ve done cookies, truffles, pancake, Rice Krispie treats, muddy buddies and so much more. You name it, I’ve probably tried to make it cake batter flavored. It just give the ordinary an extra kick with little effort. Plus, who doesn’t love sprinkles?
Seriously, this rich and creamy frosting tastes just like you put a glob of cake batter on top – I might have enjoyed one (or two) before sending them off to brighten some people’s days.
