Mom’s traditional peanut butter blossoms without the kisses. Growing up, I was never a fan of plain old Hershey kisses – milk chocolate just isn’t my thing so when I grew up and found it was time I started making my own peanut butter blossoms, I decided I would give them my own twist!
I found that Dove Chocolates are the perfect shape for peanut butter blossoms. Not only are they flat and easier to eat than a Hershey kiss, but they just look so pretty on top (particularly the dark chocolate)! Whether you try the traditional Hershey kisses or up the game with these Dove chocolates, you’ll love this peanut butter blossom recipe. They’re soft and chewy with the perfect amount of peanut butter.
Now, peanut butter blossoms are delicious at anytime of year, but something about them just screams “Christmas Time” – am I right? For the next few weeks, I will be in non-stop baking mode and these peanut butter blossoms will be coming out of the oven on overdrive. They go well with cookie exchanges, holiday parties or even just ‘for-fun’ treats around the office to help get your coworkers in the Christmas spirit. Aside from regular chocolate chip cookies or sweet snickerdoodles, these are probably about the easiest to make, too.
I never like Hershey’s chocolate but I always love dove! Great idea!
Thanks Alanna – I totally agree! Dove is an amazing alternative!
[…] peanut butter binge lately, but this one honestly wasn’t intentional. Not only did I make peanut butter cookies for Easter, but I also recently published these Reese peanut butter brownies. I may have also […]
