Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x13 baking pan and line with a layer of parchment paper.
In the bowl of your stand mixer, combine the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add in the vanilla and each of the eggs one at a time mixing until well-combined.
In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda. Slowly add the mixture to your wet ingredients.
Remove your bowl from your stand and fold in your chocolate chunks. Press the dough into the pan until it's in an even layer. Lightly press the extra chocolate chunks into the top of the dough.
Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the edges turn slightly brown and the center of the cookie looks set.
Let the cookies cool for 15-30 minutes before removing from the pan. Cut into 1-2 inch squares and share with friends!
